Counselor Monica Quarles in Top Ten at Strongwoman World Finals

Tandem counselor Monica Quarles (TFS '04) is a nationally ranked 'Strongwoman' and competed last weekend in the "Official Strongman Games World Finals," held in Madison WI at the Alliant Energy Center Coliseum from Dec 5-8. Around 400 athletes from 35 countries competed. This is Monica's third year competing in the Open class. Each day there are two events, with only those who finish in the top 10 on day two advancing to day three. Monica easily made it to day three, winning one event outright (Wrecking Ball), and finished in 7th place overall. It was a great weekend for Monica, now crowned 7th strongest woman in the world! More info can be found at www.strongman.games. If you click on the Womens Open tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet, you can see how Monica scored in all seven events: Log Lift, Car Yoke, Deadlift, Sandbag Medley, Sandbag Toss, Wrecking Ball and Stone Run. Monica also shared some video clips of each event, which are amazing to watch. Click here to access that folder of video clips. We're proud of Monica! Way to 'Badger up.'
