Whew! The campus was overflowing with holiday spirit today from beginning to end. Seniors decorated the Community Hall after the Winter Concert, placing a large holiday tree in the center of the room. During Morning Meeting, senior elves (dressed in festive holiday apparel), shared candy and Secret Santa gifts with Upper Schoolers. Then the Badger Bowl began, a massive trivia competition with mixed grade teams by division competing on a myriad of trivia topics. Middle Schoolers spent the rest of the morning on fun activities (they got to choose two), including: holiday karaoke, manicures, D & D, Pokemon, Legos, & board games, holiday movies (three choices), tea and books, soccer, and music/open mic setup. In the Upper School, students worked on some service-related holiday activities, including cookie decorating for local businesses, card making and gift wrapping for Boys and Girls Club gift recipients, felting ornaments for Southwood patients, campus perimeter cleanup, gingerbread house making, a clothing swap, and setting up for the Open Mic. After lunch the entire community enjoyed an amazing open mic, filled with wonderful performances, then completed an all-school cleanup. The day ended with holiday Meeting for Worship by division. 5th-7th graders held a meeting on their own. The Upper School Meeting for Worship including 8th graders, and honored our seniors, as each walked in with a lit candle to illuminate them as they head into their final semester of high school.
